Niagara – a pearl of the Canadian treasury
Unearthly beautiful Niagara Falls State Park is located near falls. It is necessary to tell, that it is a favorite tourist’s place. Water’s access is closed by a low fencing; special people conduct strict video observation.
Staying on the mountain top, it is possible to discern the Niagara River entirely; the small Goat Island dividing a stream in two parts is visible too. One part forms Bridal Veil Falls, belonging to the USA, another – Horseshoe Falls. Latter is situated on the Canadian side of island. Translating from Indian, Niagara means “the big noise”. The name represents to facts: the roar is carried on many-many kilometers. Standing on a viewing point, you can practically “feel” the river, because water tons fall on only two meters distance from you. The feeling is unforgettable! Camping is very popular business in Canada, and during a season or in long weekend it is very hard to find an empty site on any campground (a place where you settle down on a camping), so it is necessary to think about it in advance. A camping is rest for those people who is an expert in it and who loves the nature. Canadian campgrounds are located in the most beautiful places in the open air.
There are two kinds of campgrounds: state (provincial) and private when people buy some ground and make there a place for your rest.
Equestrian Camping in Canada
With love of outdoor activities Canadians are very enthusiastic campers. Alberta is a perfect place for it. There you can combine a range of activities in all variety, such as horse-riding, biking, hiking and boating. For lovers of winter sports this is a good region as well.
The geographical position of Alberta makes camping pleasurable. It is situated between Saskatchewan prairies and Rocky Mountains. Boreal forests are mixed there with shifting glaciers and badlands where remains of prehistoric dinosaurs were discovered.
There are 69 provincial parks in Canada run by the state. Some of them provide backcountry camping picturesque views. The facilities are not developed there therefore one can experience primitive conditions for rest there. Some campsites of this kind are located in the area of Lake Louise, though Colin-Cornwall Lakes are also close. But the access to the Colin-Cornwall Lakes Wildland Park is fly-in only.
If you travel in Alberta with family, campgrounds for tent camping can be found throughout the province. These campgrounds provide amusement for children of different ages. They are arranged in games rooms and picnic areas. It is possible to pitch the tent in the vicinity of 5 lakes, which can be found in William A.Switzer Provincial Park.
